Chelsea Housing Corporation's new affordable seniors' residence, Résidence du Petit-Bois, opened in February 2025. This beautiful 12-unit seniors' residence is located next to the Farm Point Community Centre and just minutes from the Gatineau River and the Voie-Verte community trail. All units are currently occupied.

To be eligible, an individual must complete the “Reservation Request” form. Paper copies of the application are also available at the Chelsea Municipality’s Town Hall. Once completed:

Board of Directors 2025:

  • Biography: Retired teacher, Western Québec School Board. Co-founder of the CHC. Councillor, Municipality of Chelsea, 2009-2013

  • Biography: Retired registered nurse, specializing in emergency and trauma care. Recognized for a long history of volunteer involvement in Chelsea: Chelsea Soccer Volunteer of the Year Award 2015, Chelsea Soccer Wall of Fame Award 2023

  • Biography: Following a career at the Public Service Commission, Pamela has been recognized for her many volunteer community contributions; the Biblio Wakefield Library (2014 Volunteer of the Year), the Wakefield Memorial Hospital gift shop Boutique Santé (Volunteer of the Year (2023) / Long Service Award 2025) as well as the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd and Castenchel community choir.

  • Biography: Incumbent of the Parish of Chelsea-Lascelles-Wakefield since May 2024.  Caz has been a deacon (2016-2021) and a priest (2021 to present) with the Diocese of Ottawa since 2016. 

  • Biography: Long-time resident of Farm Point, with significant volunteer contributions to the Farm Point library and Les Bons Campagnons, a Seniors’ interest group in Farm Point.

  • Biography: Born and raised in Wakefield Quebec. Built our home in Farmpoint in 1970, raised our family, retired from a rewarding career in Real Estate, and Funeral Service. I also enjoyed being an active community volunteer.

  • Biographie: Né à Drummondville en 1979, Alexandre Sawyer est diplômé de l’UQTR (B.A. en histoire) et de l’Université d’Ottawa (M.A. et Ph. D., Histoire). En 2019, il est nommé gestionnaire de la coopérative d’habitation Côté-Ville de Gatineau. Alexandre se joint, par la suite, à la FIHAB et Loge-Ic coopérative immobilière, d’abord en tant que conseiller en gestion, puis coordinateur de la gestion immobilière.

     L’engagement d’Alexandre dans le mouvement coopératif et de l’habitation communautaire commence en 2011, alors qu’il est élu au conseil d’administration de la coopérative d’habitation Côté-Ville de Gatineau. Son rôle au sein de conseils d’administration lui a permis d’acquérir une connaissance inestimable des défis auxquels sont confrontées les coopératives d’habitation, tant au niveau de la gestion immobilière que de la vie associative.

     Ardent défenseur des idéaux des idéaux du modèle coopératif, Alexandre est membre de plusieurs coopératives de solidarité de l’Outaouais. Il reste également actif au sein de comités consultatifs régionaux, d’associations historiques et patrimoniales.
